Sand and Foam
Sand and Foam is the book published in 1926, in which he compiled the aphorisms of the Lebanese-born American writer, poet and artist Khalil Gibran (1883-1931). Avare is the author's work in which his parables are collected. Gibran's literary works and paintings are quite romantic at first glance, overflowing with lyricism; The Bible bears influences from Nietsche and William Blake. His works, written in Arabic and English, deal with topics such as love, death, nature and longing for home, and reflect his religious and mystical inner world. In his own words, Gibran presents the book Sand and Foam as follows: "This little book is no bigger than its name; a handful of sand, a pinch of foam... Even if I scatter its grains into the depths of my heart and filter its foam through the still of my soul, it will be more than the shore, now and forever." It remains and will remain very close to the sea, more than limited desire, to the attainment that expressions cannot limit. However, some of us are embarrassed by the obvious things in our hearts. So please tolerate and understand me.
