Unrest in Culture
Sigmunt Freud, the founder of Psychoanalytic Theory, says that we have to ask ourselves the development of civilization, its beginning, to what influences it owes, how it came into being and what determines its flow.
The author, who claims that civilization needs aesthetics and that aesthetics originates from sexual love, says that "happiness cannot be given advice because it is a very subjective subject."
Stating that man will always defend his demand for individual freedom against cultural and mass demands, Freud points out that civilization rises on the suppression of instincts.
After mentioning that this book, one of the founding texts of social psychology, contains controversial issues but is conveyed as objectively as possible, we can easily say that it is a work that should be in the library of everyone, whether interested or not.
