Like every ideology, nationalist conservative ideology has certain motifs, emphasis and goals. These retreat, change their form, or come to the fore depending on what kind of historical section they are positioned in... In fact, it is not possible to understand the position of anticommunism and the anticommunist movement, which can be understood as the dominant ideology of the Cold War period, within the Turkish right without examining the Anti-Communism Associations. Ertugrul Mese, in this book titled Struggle Against Communism: The Construction of Anticommunism in the Turkish Right, in which he persistently and meticulously discusses both the anticommunist imagination and its embodiment, shows how anticommunism is understood and constructed within the Turkish right, without ignoring the developments outside the country.
