The first and especially the last sentences of the Communist Manifesto must have been heard by even those who have never read this short text for one hundred and seventy years. We are talking about one of the most read, most published and most banned and prosecuted texts of modern times all over the world. It is undoubtedly one of the fundamental texts of modern times, with its language, eloquence and "atmosphere" as well as its political influence.

The Manifesto, written by Marx and Engels to reveal the main principles and general framework of the program of the international Communist Party, founded one hundred and seventy years ago, is, as its name suggests, considered the basic text of modern communist thought. They are the most easily read texts of Marx and Engels. Beyond its concrete historical references and practical arguments, it offers a lens to view history, society, economy, people and humanity. The commentaries that Marx and Engels added to the new editions show that this short text was considered by its authors as a substance open to processing. In these commentaries, the ties and differences between socialism and communism are also mentioned. The Communist Party Manifesto, written with the determination to change the world and the passion to understand the world that is a part of this determination, is one of the historical examples of that determination and that passion. This expands its horizons beyond individual communist parties and movements.
