Kökünü Arayan Çınar
"The stories in this book are about people who were exiled from the geography of pain and tried to be destroyed within a period of 50 years (1937-1987), and who were shown as if they never existed, despite all the cruelty and injustice. and presents a slice of the lost lives of the oppressed who were subjected to injustice, suffered so much, and were ignored.
These narratives, which are narrated on the basis of oral history, do not aim to make the wounds that have never been healed bleed again or to reopen the pains that have been forgotten. They only focus on events that are hidden from the public by showing them as if they never happened, as if they had never happened. As a thinker said, "the best historians are those who carry their childhood in their pockets." Here, only the period we live in, its pains and longings are witnessed.
Unfortunately, what is written are real life stories.
Some of them were written as they are, some with the names of people and places changed, and some by combining several stories as if they were a single story.
Kurd, Armenian, Assyrian, Yazidi, Alevi... How many times were decrees issued and how many times did they go into exile...
