Kış Masalı - Hasan Ali Yücel Klasikleri
William Shakespeare (1564-1616): A legendary writer who has continued to impress readers and audiences all over the world for nearly 400 years with his power of expressing the human condition in his plays and poems. The Winter's Tale, which takes its subject from Robert Greene's work Pandosto, first published in 1588, has a dramatic intensity in the first three acts and a fantastic reality in the last two acts. The first performance of this play, which is quite difficult to classify in terms of genre, took place in the palace in 1611. Traces of the period of absolute monarchy that began with the accession of James I to the throne can be seen in the fate of King Leontes, which is unlike the fate of other kings in Shakespeare's literary universe.
