Kent İmgesi
"This small, readable book is one of the most important modern contributions to large-scale design theory." David A. Crane, Journal of the American Institute of Planners
It is often forgotten that living in a city is actually living in an image. The streets, boulevards, coastlines, historical buildings, magnificent bridges and shopping malls of that city all seem to reinforce an impression. Moreover, the perception of a city varies from person to person as well as over time. Probably the only thing we can claim to be the same are the questions that come to mind: What exactly does the structure of a city in which an active life takes place mean? The image we have of the city we live in is the product of which sensitivity? Is it possible to get lost in one place twice? Is it possible to talk about a city history that accompanies our personal history?
