Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own, in which she examines the place of women in society and literature from many perspectives, also reflects the author's worldview firsthand.

The section titled “The Troubles a Woman Who Wants to Become a Writer Faces,” narrated through Shakespeare's imaginary sister Judith Shakespeare, and the image of the “room” have become virtually a symbol in feminist literature. A Room of One’s Own is one of Woolf’s most inspiring texts.

One of the most creative names in modern literature, Woolf made innovative moves such as writing using the stream of consciousness technique and increasing the closeness between prose and poetry. A Room of One’s Own has a classic place in feminist literature. Her other important works include Jacob’s Room, Mrs. Dalloway, and The Waves.
