Katliamlar - Direniş - Koruyucular
This book is one of the first comprehensive academic studies of the Assyrian/Nestorian, Chaldean and Assyrian Christian communities that shared the same fate with the Armenians during World War I. The ethnic cleansing campaign, which started in Western Anatolia before the First World War broke out, later continued in Northern Mesopotamia and Ottoman-occupied Iranian lands. For this study, Turkish sources, including the General Staff Archive, as well as original documents and sources in Russian, German, French and Arabic, manuscripts used for the first time and oral history narratives were used. The book focuses mainly on the Assyrians/Nestorians of Iran/Urmiye, and Hakkari, the Assyrians of Diyarbakır/Mardin province, and the Assyrians of Tur Abidin.
David Gaunt gives us a complete picture of the 1915 phenomenon, the Seyfo reality, experienced in the most ancient geography of humanity.
