
Carthage
Carthage was the light of the Mediterranean pit and the source of inspiration throughout Antiquity. This powerful city, which almost single-handedly dominated all maritime trade in the Mediterranean basin, dates back to II BC. Until it was erased from the stage of history by Rome in the 16th century, it left valuable traces that can be discovered today by digging a well with a needle. BC. IX. Carthage, which is assumed to have appeared in history in the 19th century, is today the main subject of many dominant researches, especially of an archaeological nature. The present study, as one of the most specialized introductory texts on the subject, reveals the development of this Western Phoenician civilization throughout history in the light of the most positive and up-to-date information obtained.
