Mining in the Quarries of Karamanli Literary Heritage
In Mining in the Furnaces of Karamanlı Literary Heritage, twelve articles by Evangelia Balta, one of the scientists who is famous for her studies on history, literature, press and publication history, biography, bibliography and folklore on Karamanlı and Karamanlı language, have been brought together.
The migration of the Christian-believing, Turkish-speaking Karamanis, one of the indigenous people of Anatolia, to Greece through Population Exchange (Mutual Population Exchange) (1923), and their being forced to live in a country that was actually very foreign to them, from the land in which they took root, was the end of a culture, history, language and the richness associated with them. If not, it was the beginning of the end.
Evangelia Balta continues to mine in this multi-layered, complex and problematic area and shares her findings with scientists and enthusiasts...
