Turkish translation of the life story written in Armenian by Apraham Kasapyan, who was born in Tekirdag in 1902 and died in Istanbul in 1972. The testimony of Kasapyan, who was sent to his death under the name of deportation with his family and relatives in 1915, about these years contains heartbreaking stories. The book, which sheds light on what Kasapyan, who survived the massacres, went through in the following years during devastating practices such as the 20th Class Public Works Military Service and the Wealth Tax, tells the adventure of an Armenian who clung to life under all these difficult conditions.

This life story, written by an individual from the Turkish Armenian community who lived behind a wall of silence that lasted for decades after 1915, is extremely valuable as a crack opened in this wall of silence by an extremely "ordinary" person. While telling the story of his own family, Apraham Kasapyan both conveys his experiences about the events that marked the last hundred years of Turkey and shows how being a citizen of this country as an Armenian means going through knife-edge situations. “How many of you are there, Master Bogos?” It strikes its readers with its testimony of both a history and a life in the person of a single person.
