İvan İlyiç'in Ölümü - Hasan Ali Yücel Klasikleri-Ciltli Kitap
Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy (1828-1910): The great author of Anna Karenina, War and Peace, Resurrection, Kreutzer Sonat, in the last thirty years of his life he devoted himself to human, family, religion, state, society, freedom, submission, rebellion, art and aesthetics. He also gave theoretical studies on the subject. In the novels and stories he wrote during this period, he addressed the human problems he had been thinking about for years with a literary fiction. The Death of Ivan Ilyich, published in 1886, has a unique place in Russian realistic literature with its simple, unadorned narrative. The work, which is about the confrontation with death of a person who has always taken care to live as he should, is one of the first examples of the new moral understanding that Tolstoy put forward in the last period of his life. As Tolstoy stated in a letter, The Death of Ivan Ilyich is the depiction of an ordinary man's ordinary death from his own eyes.
