İttihat ve Terakki
Perhaps the most important figure in the process leading to the collapse of the Ottoman Empire was the Committee of Union and Progress. The discourses and actions of this society, which left its mark on the last twenty-five years of the empire, are among the most discussed topics today.
The concept of "Unionism", established by Military Medical School students, matured by officers in the Balkans, and developed by civilian officials with the same thoughts, has become a spirit for people with the same thoughts over time.
II. Members of the Committee of Union and Progress, who secretly completed their organization under the authoritarian rule of Abdulhamid and operated in the same secret, grew stronger in the Balkans and became powerful during World War II. After the Constitutional Monarchy was declared, they had a primary say in the country.
The book not only examines the establishment, rise and fall of the Committee of Union and Progress, but also tries to reveal what activities the Unionists carried out in the first years of the Republic. In this context, some members of the society trying to strengthen the Committee of Union and Progress point to "Mustafa Kemal" as the biggest obstacle to their ambitions.
