İsyan
In a prison on a tropical island in the Indian Ocean, three women stay in a two-person cell. While the hurricane that broke out in the distance outside is getting closer and closer, these three women from different generations console each other with stubbornness and effort in order to hold on to life without surrendering to fear. They forget the differences between them and embrace the things that hold them together, recreating prison life with their own rules.
Leila, the youngest, was imprisoned for shedding blood. Beneath his angry and rebellious child appearance, he is unexpectedly strong and intelligent. Middle-aged Juna has been accused of conspiracy, but all she knows is building bridges between computer language and human language. Old Mother Gracienne confessed to a terrible crime and went to prison, although the crime she confessed to was many times greater than herself. Surrounded by four walls, hunger, fear, torture and despair, these three women learn to trust by telling their own stories. Their friendship develops with the approaching storm, and finally, the most hopeful thought becomes intertwined with the hurricane: Rebellion. In fact, the rebellion turns into a delicious recipe that embellishes female friendship and the desire for justice with anger.
On the other hand, they realize that they are not very free outside, because while they think they are free, the islands whose borders are closed are missing weapons technology that will enable the powers that dominate the world to invade and bomb poor countries. In fact, it is surrounded by production factories and other benches of developed states.
Insurrection is what John Berger said, "An exquisite novel that tells the destructive power of words," and its heroes first survive, then dance, curse, rebel, and 'rebel' despite being defeated. It tells about those who defy fate and refuse to perish by not giving up on their idea.
