Liji Pulcu Çizmeciyan continues to tell the story of Istanbul and herself where she left off with the second volume of Lost Times in Istanbul. After graduating from Notre Dame de Sion, Çizmeciyan, who went to the English Philology department of Istanbul University Faculty of Letters with his five close friends, tells the story of the university circles, friendships and gossip in intellectual circles of the 1940s from the perspective of a young student.

Trying to chart his route after graduating from English Philology, Çizmeciyan never breaks away from his educational life during this search. One year after his graduation, he enrolled in the IU French Philology department. Prof. A new era begins for Çizmeciyan, who chose Marcel Proust as his doctoral thesis upon the suggestion of Riri Kemalof. In Lost Times in Istanbul II, Çizmeciyan's journey, which begins in Istanbul, continues on the streets of Paris in the footsteps of Marcel Proust.

In 1958, when the Algerian events were raging on the streets of Paris, Çizmeciyan was in Paris because he was preparing for his doctorate with the French Scholarship of the Center National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS). We continue to follow the traces of Lost Times in Istanbul with the warm narration of Çizmeciyan, who returned to Notre Dame de Sion as a French Literature teacher in 1971 and taught at the same school until his retirement.
