İnsanlık Komedisi
The Human Comedy is one of the most popular novels of William Saroyan, who is considered one of the best writers of the 20th century American literature in the short story, novel and play genres. The events take place in the town of Ithaca, California, USA, during the Second World War... How this small American town, where a member of almost every family is actually in the war, is affected by the events, the human conditions created by these extraordinary conditions, the main hero of the work. It is told blended with the growing pains of teenage Homer Macauley. While Saroyan, with his unique naive perspective, manages to take the pulse of the ordinary person in the war, he also aims to raise questions about concepts such as "the barbarism that war inevitably involves" and "not limiting the responsibility of war crimes to the entity that is considered the 'enemy'". The Human Comedy will also be on the agenda in the coming period with its film adaptation starring famous actors such as Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
