"Clearness" is always tyrannical, a tyrannical attempt to simplify the manifold, to make the natural intelligible, even plausible. Clarity is a virtue in maxims; The sentences in the sayings are cute, valuable, educational, full of humor and meaningful; However, they never contain any truth, because the converse of every maxim is also true.
