Hititler: Bir Anadolu İmparatorluğu
In the 2nd millennium BC, the Near Eastern geography hosted the superpowers of the period such as Egypt, Babylon and Assyria. The province of Hattu I, who was the founder of the Hittite state and who also gave his name to the capital of the state, Hattusa, gave birth to a new power in Anatolia as a result of the struggle with these super powers ruling in Anatolia, Mesopotamia and the Nile Valley: the Hittite Kingdom. During his reign, the Hittites systematically completed the state formation process, expanded their borders and turned Anatolia into the economic and cultural center of attraction of the 2nd millennium BC. Underlying this transformation lies the Hittites' effective use of military, political, commercial and legal instruments.
In the book, 22 articles, each written by expert researchers in their fields, are presented to the reader, examining the history, laws, art, architecture, economy, political, religious and social life of the Hittites, who maintained their state structures for approximately 450 years and brought many innovations to the history of human culture.
