Hayat İşte
The reader follows a passion in the 19th century. This novel, which will take you around the streets, squares and halls of late-century Trieste, is the first work of Italo Svevo, known in our country for his novels Zeno's Consciousness, Senilità and A Bad Joke. Svevo, who is mentioned together with Pirandello, Musil, Joyce and sometimes Kafka, was born in the 19th century. In the 20th century, it broke new ground by breaking away from literature that was settled in the molds of romanticism and then realism, and broke new ground in the 20th century. He is one of the writers who initiated the European literature of the 19th century. In this period, with the reflection of Schopenhauer and Freud's ideas in the literature, spiritual reality came to the fore, the narrative process deepened and focused on the inner world of the characters in the novel, and was enriched with its subconscious dimension. Events are no longer external and objective, but internal and subjective. At the same time, the novel's protagonist ceases to be a "hero", loses his power and sparkle, he becomes an "anti-hero", someone who remains helpless and abstaining in the face of the coincidences and opportunities that life brings.
Our story is actually quite simple: Rural origin, philosophy And while the literature-enthusiastic, dreamy, poor young man comes to the big city and gets stuck in the tedious wheel of the bank clerk's job, he falls in love with a beautiful, capricious rich girl brought on his path by luck. But amid hesitations, hesitations, mistakes, misunderstandings, and internal reckoning, the incident comes to an unexpected end. It's the kind of ending that we witness from time to time, that makes one say, "I want life!".
