Hasanwayhi Kurdish Emirate (961-1015)

This book deals with the establishment, development and collapse of this Emirate, which was established in the Cibal region in the Northwest of Iran during the Abbasid period and was named Hasanwayhi Kurdish Emirate in Islamic history and geography sources. This emirate, which emerged in the Cibal region, is introduced as the "State of the Kurds" in Ibn Khaldun's History.

Hasanwayhi Emirate was established on the basis of unity provided by the Kurdish tribes brought together by Husayn al-Berzikani. Hasanveyh, the son of Hussein al-Berzikani, is considered the real founder of the Emirate. His name is Hasanveyh b. in Islamic historical sources. He is mentioned as Hüseyin el-Kurdî. Although he established a good alliance with the Buwayhids, he was subjected to the intervention of the Emirate Buwayhid Ruler Adudüddevle after the death of Hasanwayh. Hasanveyh's children, except for Badr, were massacred along with all the prominent figures of the emirate, despite their declaration of obedience. Bedir, who became the head of the Emirate with the approval of the Buwayhids, took the Hasanwayhi Emirate to the top thanks to the domestic and foreign policies he followed. The Badr Abbasid caliph was awarded the title of "Nasirü'd-Din ve'd-Devle", which had never been given to anyone before, by Kâdir-Billâh, and the Caliphate Banner was sent to him. Unfortunately, this emirate, whose wealth is legendary, entered the process of rapid collapse following a war between Bedir and his own son, Hilal.

This study is a scientific study of utmost importance in terms of presenting the information about the Kurds in Islamic history and geography sources, which has been distorted by some historians, to the reader in a faithful manner.
