Hançer - Ciltli Kitap
Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov (1814-1841): The great revolutionary romantic of Russian poetry, whose influence, despite his short life of twenty-seven years, extends to the early twentieth century, Gorky and the symbolists. Lermontov grew up in an aristocratic officer's family during the period when the Decembrist movement was brutally suppressed and Tsarist Russia imposed intense censorship on cultural and artistic life. The nature of the Caucasus and the life of the Caucasian people, to which he was exiled because of the poem "Death of the Poet" written by Pushkin after his death, left deep traces on the artist. Folk poetry, folk songs, elements of Slavic and Caucasian folklore, and magnificent nature descriptions have an important place in Lermontov's poetry. Hançer is one of the most beautiful selections, carefully made from his poems that skillfully reflect the poet's world, from his early youth poems to his maturity period, when the feelings of rebellion, pain and anger intensify. On the 200th anniversary of the poet's birth, two of his most beautiful poems, "Iblis" and "Mtsiri", were also added to the new edition of Hançer.
