Don't Let the Day Miss from My Window
Our great poet Cahit Sitki Taranci became one of the cult poets of our literature with his poem Thirty-Five Years. Although he was influenced by French poets such as Baudelaire and Verlaine, he was not involved in any literary movement throughout his life. Unfortunately, Taranci passed away at a young age, so the works he published during his lifetime are not many. In addition to his prose and speeches, which were collected after his death, a study containing twenty-two of his stories was also published in the 70s. Taranci wrote these stories regularly in Cumhuriyet newspaper for a while. These stories, which we have brought together under the name of the poet's unforgettable lines, under the name "Let the Day Not Fade from My Window", you will see when you read them, that they are the masterful work of an extremely simple, striking and creative storyteller. The book brings together all the poet's stories for the first time. We present it with a review by M. Sadik Aslankara.
