No Return is based on the diary of fourteen-year-old Vahram, who was taken on a death journey from Bursa to the Syrian deserts with his family in the summer of 1915, written right after the disaster years.< br>
The book brings together five articles by writer Janine Altounian, who discovered her father's notebook decades later in a drawer where it was kept hidden, and linguistics and psychoanalysis experts Krikor Beledian, Régine Waintrater and René Kaës, in which they discuss the diary from linguistic, historical and psychoanalytical perspectives.

It is missed, it has a sufficient level of meaning This genocide experience, which could not be carried, could not be shared with others, surrounded by silence and denial, remained stuck in a remote corner of the psyche. From Vahram Altounian's diary
6 chapters later We arrived at the Turkish Bath. And we saw that they were eating grasshoppers because of hunger, and the people who died were dying. In short, we set up the tent, but my brother (my father) was so bad that he could not get up. They said again, "Come on, sympathize." My mother said, "Our patient is very seriously ill, please, let's stop this time and go next time."
Onnar said: "Wow, you are answering" and started hitting my benefactor on the head.
My mother said: "Don't hit him, hit me."
What happens if you hit a seriously ill patient with a stick? 6 days later, the day my benefactor passed away, the pain came again. They started beating my mother (my mother) again, we are two brothers crying, but there is nothing we can do, tens of dogs are killing us.

They say to Mayriim: "Here your patient is dead."
Mayriim replied: "Let's bury the dead and then leave."
They said, "No, you do what everyone else does." What they do is that they leave and the next night the jackals tear them apart...
