Back Cover Text (From the Promotional Bulletin)

“The people in our immediate circle did not create any differences between us, so we did not immigrate to western countries where we would feel like strangers. Since the age of eleven, most of my closest friends and companions have been Turks. (…) For this reason, although I like to travel and see different cities and different countries, I have never wanted to live anywhere other than Istanbul. I didn't have any problems with my close circle, but I heard a lot of bad words about Armenians from many people on the street and from the media, and I still hear them. "It is not easy to live as a minority, whose name is often used as an insult, and sometimes as an enemy, in the country that I know as the only homeland on earth."

Of course, there is "being an Armenian" in Sosi Antikacıoğlu's life story: With the memory of Crimea... With the events of September 6-7 that revived that memory... By wandering through the branches of the family tree, with sections from the regionally and class-differentiated lives of Turkey's "remaining" Armenians... But not only that. From the 1940s to the present… in fact, through the memory of the family, going back to the 1910s and even further… Turkey has the atmosphere and spirit of different periods. There are vivid experiences and observations from every aspect of life, from the experience of growing up to "heart affairs". There are Anatolia, Thrace, Istanbul, Şişli, Büyükada and Boğaziçi University. A family has serencam. Sad at times, but never giving up on being happy... A life story told with an eye that looks with curiosity and love, and with a subtle, skillful language.

Bulunmayan kitapların bulunduğu, kaliteli hizmetin adresi, ender bir kitapevi...İsminin kürtce olması da ayrıca sebeb-i tercîhim...
