“In 1951, Füreya had a deep love affair with Jacques Lassaign (who would later become the director of the Paris Museum of Modern Arts), who was closely interested in visual arts.

Lassaigne, who published books for many artists from Goya to Picasso, writes a story, a novela, for the first and last time: Les Nuits (Nights). This fictional text is like a love song dedicated to Füreya. Lassaigne gives the manuscript of his work to Füreya. Füreya transfers this gift of love in her own handwriting to two special notebooks measuring 16X15.5 cm and pictures it.
