Storm
William Shakespeare (1564-1616): A legendary writer who has continued to impress readers and audiences all over the world for nearly 400 years with his power of expressing the human condition in his plays and poems. The Tempest, which is estimated to have been written in 1611 and is thought to be the last play Shakespeare wrote alone, is one of the four romances (Pericles, Cymbeline, The Winter's Tale, The Tempest) belonging to the author's last period. This miraculous play has a subplot that offers a parody of the main plot like Twelfth Night, masques and plays-within-the-play like Askin Emegi Bouna, supernatural elements like A Midsummer Night's Dream, and music that represents harmony. With this last play, all of Shakespeare's works are completed in Turkish for the first time in Hasan Âli Yücel Classics.
