These three volumes are a historical record of Feynman's physics courses taken by all first- and second-year students at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) between 1961 and 1964.

The first volume of the lectures was given by Prof. at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in the 1961-62 academic year. It is based on a series of lectures given by RP Feynman as an introductory physics course; covers the first year of a physics course taken by all Caltech freshmen and sophomores; A similar series covering the second year followed in 1962-63. The book follows a course other than the usual introductory physics topics. This book, which also serves as an introduction to quantum physics, reflects Feynman's genius and his ability to simplify the most difficult subjects.
