The texts of man's production of knowledge, reinterpretation of himself and the outside world, that is, philosophy, the essence of which continues to live by influencing today's thought systems, have been produced in the geography we live in more than anywhere else. Urfa Academy, Harran School, Nusaybin Academy, Ephesus Temple, all of them are the philosophy schools of the generations before us in this geography. Alone, the saying "one cannot bathe in the same water twice" was carried from Ephesus-born Heraclitus to Hegel; Although it does not end with the concept of "dialectics" in Engels, its new meaning may perhaps give an idea about the meaning of the journey of philosophy far beyond ages and borders. The thought forms of philosophy, which we can define as a whole of intellectual relations with man himself, nature and spiritualism, are our secret masters who shape our lives and determine our beliefs and preferences, whether we want it or not. Thank God, these thoughts have a short lifespan and they quickly disappear and are replaced by new patterns. Both human history and philosophical thoughts flow like water. We wash our body and soul, at least once, in these waters of wisdom, which we have no doubt are always fresh and clear.

In his History of Philosophy, Alfred Weber gives a neat account of the emergence of philosophy and philosophers, rather than tiring the reader in the difficult and risky areas of man's relations with philosophy, in the journey of philosophy that almost starts with the history of humanity. While bringing together the historical richness of philosophical thoughts spread over ages and different lands with the reader with an encyclopedic summary, it systematically reveals almost all philosophical movements that have found a place in the field of world thought, from metaphysical thought to neo-Platonism, from the religious philosophy of the Middle Ages to the critical thoughts of the modern age, using their original sources.
