Evvelotel Saklı

Ayfer Tunç with her new story book Evvelotel, in which the themes and/or characters in the stories of her first book, Sakli, published in 1989 and which won the Yunus Nadi Short Story Award in the same year, constitute a starting point. It appears before the reader after approximately three years. Evvelotel's dark stories, a work of a kind that we have not seen many examples of in our literature, are not a continuation of Sakli's stories; However, as the author emphasizes at the end of his novel Cover Girl, it shows that the characters continue to live and the themes continue to produce themselves in the author's mind. Evvelotel, which also includes her first book Sakli, is a brand new pinnacle in Ayfer Tunç's works. Evvelotel is a candidate to be talked about a lot, both with its multi-layered structure, with the expansions it brings to our storytelling, and with its reminder that the work is actually an unfinished process.
