Armenian Church
This study, which is the first source in Turkish on the history and belief system of the Armenian Church, was written so that readers with different interests can easily access satisfactory and reliable information about this ancient church, which accepts Christianity as the state religion in the world. The book, which was first published in English in 1993 and had many new editions in the following years, covers themes such as the conditions in which the Armenian Church was born, its development, its spread among the people, and the transformations it underwent, as well as the different authorities of the Church, its hierarchy, the content of its faith, the differences between it and other churches. It sheds light on issues such as differences and similarities. Focusing on the adventure of the Armenian Church in modern times and making observations on the challenges and opportunities it faces in the 21st century, the book offers a stimulating analysis of the history of not only the Church but also the Armenian people.
The book, which was reviewed and developed for the Turkish edition by Hratch Tchilingirian, one of the world's leading experts on the subject, and enriched with visual material, manages to create a very fluent, understandable and satisfying narrative for both non-academic and academic readers.
