Emperyalizm - Kapitalizmin En Yüksek Aşaması
Vladimir Ilyich Lenin's book "Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism" is one of the first texts that tried to explain the increasing importance of the world market in the twentieth century. The text, published in 1916, explains one by one, with the help of many tables, that colonialism and the First World War were an internal consequence of the global development of the capitalist economy, along with their reasons. "Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism" maintains its validity even after all the time since its publication and speaks prophetically, from the past to the present.
"Isn't it an inevitable fact that as trade and capitalism develop more rapidly, with the ever more rapid concentration of production and capital, monopoly will emerge? And monopolies have already arisen - precisely from free competition! If monopolies have now begun to hinder development, this cannot be due to free competition giving rise to monopolies and this cannot be considered an argument in favor of free competition.”
