The depths of the state are darker than the depths of the soil.

That sad autumn of 1926. The Ottoman Empire has collapsed and the young republic is trying to stand on its feet. A man in that great upheaval: Sehsuvar Sami... Once upon a time, the Union and Progress leader, today's tired commander. A relentless intrigue revolving around Sehsuvar Sami. On the one hand, his beloved Ester, whom he lost but could never get out of his heart, and on the other hand, the historical defeat... A lost country, a lost city, a lost life. And always the same question in your mind: Is the state sacred or the human being?

"Death begins with losing our cities." I don't remember who said this sentence, unfortunately it is true... It is true, but incomplete. Death begins with the loss of our cities and ends with the loss of our homeland.

What is homeland, really? Is it a piece of land, endless seas, deep lakes, steep mountains, fertile plains, lush forests, crowded cities, isolated villages? No, homeland has a meaning beyond all these. It is not just a piece of land, nor water basins, nor a chain of trees... Homeland is our mother's compassion, the white hair on our father's hair, our first love, our newborn child, the graves of our grandfathers...

A person without a homeland has no life. Yes, once upon a time my mind and heart were full of these ideas. Now? Now I don't know…

Bulunmayan kitapların bulunduğu, kaliteli hizmetin adresi, ender bir kitapevi...İsminin kürtce olması da ayrıca sebeb-i tercîhim...
