Elia Ile Yolculuk
World-famous cinema master and writer Elia Kazan felt like an Anatolian, not an American or a Greek. He would persuade many actors to work together with his talent, which he called his "Anatolian smile".
This talent could not save him from the "collaborator" label that he would carry throughout his life. The mistakes of the McCarthy era haunted him for life. Kazan, who even received his third Oscar with sadness, hit the roads of his hometown Kayseri, like a child running to his mother's knees, perhaps to seek some consolation and purification. Like a Greek tragic hero who knows his fate but struggles against it before dying.
Ancient Anatolia managed to take Zülfü Livaneli and Elia Kazan, two people with completely different principles and different experiences, on perhaps their only common journey.
We will watch this extraordinary journey, which we will read in Livaneli's magical lines, with MK Perker's magnificent drawings.
