
Literature and Evil
Deeply affecting not only the literature of our age but also the field of thought; Shocking writers such as Derrida, Foucault and Barthes; Georges Bataille, who is outspoken in his polemics with Breton and Sartre, deals with one of the most important facts of our lives, Evil, in Literature and Evil. The side of goodness is the pure side of submission and obedience. In the freedom of evil we find horror: murder committed by passion, sacrifice, war, massacres and riots, lies and black magic; They are actions in which the universal bearable is tested, in which the sadist appears as a virtuous person, in a kind of spiritual drunkenness in which the boundary between the feeling of guilt and the pleasure based on passion becomes blurred...
