Don Quixote (2 Volume Set)

Cervantes' famous novel Don Quixote, full name Don Quixote, the Creative Nobleman from La Mancha.

Prof. wrote the introduction of the book. In the words of Jale Parla: "The adventures of the La Mancha Knight Don Quixote and his squire Sancho Panza, which have been the most read, the most loved, the most interpreted and the most rewritten since 1605, when the first part was published", in our country as well as all over the world. It was also met with interest, but it entered our language mostly through translations made from editions prepared for children in second languages such as English and French. However, only one or two full-text translations have been made, albeit from second languages.

Now, with Jale Parla's apt observations: This author, who "perhaps dreamed of the modern reader for the first time with Shakespeare" and "destroyed the authority of not only "knight novels" but also "all (literary) genres used in the Renaissance", is perhaps postmodern. This pioneering novel, which even foretells the narrative almost four centuries in advance, is being fully translated into Turkish for the first time.
