Diyarbakır'da Ermeni Kıyımı
The Armenian Massacre in Diyarbakir is a study written largely on the basis of Turkish and Armenian archives that were recorded from 1908 to 1915 and remained in the corner of the coast. It discusses the rise of the Committee of Union and Progress, the nascent Kurdish national movement, and the extermination of the Ottoman Armenian population.
The exile and massacre of the Armenians includes a complex process that occurred as a result of the war of sovereignty of the central authorities in Istanbul, regional administrators and local powers. As a result, decision-making mechanisms, exiles, assimilation policies, property confiscation of Armenians, and the settlement of Kurdish and Muslim communities in the region at the same time were formed in a new framework. Rather than following a rigid and preconceived political line, Ottoman authorities regularly implemented poorly defined policies.
As a result, contrary to popular belief, local officials had a deeper influence on general anti-Armenian policies. Neither the Committee of Union and Progress nor the Ottoman bureaucracy acted as a whole during the Armenian massacre. Rather than looking at the developments in the region from two sides, the book addresses the complex aspects of management paradigms and sheds new light on future research and discussions.
