Divan - Melayê Cizîrî
Dîvân is the only work written by Melâyê Cizîrî , who lived in the 17th century.
Although Cizîrî's poems contain a metaphysical and spiritual depth, it is seen that the poet is not content with relying only on the clichés and metaphors brought by tradition, but also masterfully manages to establish a complex and striking intellectual background based on metaphors and allegories. In these poems, the concepts of love and beauty are handled together in integrity. The poet's mystical passion shows itself clearly.
Cizîrî, who is described by researchers as "the poet who added love as the fifth element to the four basic elements of existence", tries to integrate the line between existence and non-existence into a circle and calls it "love".
“Who is that scribe, who arranges the lines, who divides from one to many / Who is the one who reveals his face, who will solve that secret / Let him come out, if there is anyone who knows the melodies he poured out, oud and rûd / Mu¨sku¨lu "There are many, but love seems so easy."
