Seas Four Walls
Seas in Four Walls is a first book. But in reality, we seem to be dealing with an author who tried storytelling for many years, read and assimilated the great storytellers, and finally decided to write. The stories express the subtleties of life that we often do not notice, with a sensitivity that sometimes reminds us of Katharine Mansfield, with an intense, meticulous narrative style, and she does this by using 'time' and 'sadness'. I think if I had named this book, I would have said 'Time and Sorrow'. Ayse Sarısayin is also a past time traveler. A past tense weight is felt in these stories, reminiscent of Baudelaire's line 'I feel like I am a thousand years old and I have so many memories'. It's like everything eventually turns into a memory. He creates hurtful tragedies from the ordinariness of daily life. Ayse Sarisayin. And he does this with a smooth discourse. Unique stories through which sadness, time and memory pass...
