Deniz Küstü

In his novels, Yaşar describes a very wide geography of Anatolia, from the Black Sea to the Taurus Mountains, from Mount Ararat to the Aegean. In Deniz Küstü, Kemal chooses the decaying nature of Istanbul as the main theme. In the novel, which describes the corruption and decay of a city in every sense with its entire geography, all characters came to Istanbul through migration and brought their dreams with them.
