You Are Very Beautiful, Don't Go, Stop. It consists of Haldun Taner's newspaper articles between 1976 and 1982. Istanbul, history, education, art, literature, language, culture, theatre, urban problems, lost virtues, nature and environment, whatever the subject, are colored by Taner's pen.

"I'm looking for an island. Far from the fight between you and me. From fine calculations. An island where those who come to it forget their name, their profession, their selfish ambitions. And their descendants, one by one, are filled with their grudges and envies. Since there is enough room, under the sun, in the sea and on the shore, if no one has an eye on someone else's place. If he were to lie down and be content with not thinking, just living, without straying into tricks, if he let himself drift into the gentle wind, like a sea minaret, hearing a cosmic eternal song inside.

"I am looking for an island. Far from politics. There is no lust for power. There is no intolerance for those who think differently than themselves. Everyone loves the island equally. Some love the coast, some the slopes, the hills, the pine groves... The island has not been affected by the crude view of 'Since you are not with me, then you are against me'. Election problem, vote "Words such as wave, parties, coalition, Chinese are not used by the islanders. There is no politics, let alone a political crime."
