Budala - Hasan Ali Yücel Klasikleri
Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky (1821-1881): His first novel, Humanities, was published in 1846. Famous critic V. Belinski spoke of Dostoyevsky as the great writer of the future upon this work. However, although his later published stories and novels are among the literary classics of our time, they did not attract much attention at that time. The writer was arrested in 1849 on the grounds that he was a member of the Petrashevsky group opposed to the oppressive regime of Nicholas I. While he was about to be shot, his sentence was commuted to exile and compulsory military service. After completing his sentence and returning from Siberia, he started publishing the Vremya magazine in Petersburg and regained his former fame with the novels he wrote. One of his most important works, The Idiot, was serialized in the Russki Vestnik magazine in 1868-1869. In this novel, Dostoyevsky displayed the labyrinth of the human soul as refracted through the prism of madness, passion and disease.
