Bote 13 Günlük Cehennem
Thirteen Days of Hell is the story of the Assyrians of Midyat's Bote (Bardakçı) village, who took shelter in the church between 7-20 July 1915, and were kept under siege without food or water for days, and then were brutally massacred. Hor-Bishop Abraham Garis, the grandson of Garis Garis, who was a 12-year-old boy at the time and who accidentally survived the massacre, and one of the senior clergy of the Assyrian Ancient Church in Sweden, puts the Bote massacre on the autopsy table and examines it with the information he compiled from the narratives of the surviving eyewitnesses. He scrutinizes it. This book says, “I am a religious man, I forgive those who did this to my people. It is a monument meticulously built by Father Abraham Garis, who said, "As a clergyman, my duty is to forgive", to keep alive the memory of the graveless victims of Bote's barbaric murder and to translate the pain of the survivors.
