Our Story
Our Story received Strega, one of the most prestigious awards in Italy, in 2011, which was previously received by many leading writers such as Pavese, Eco and Buzzati.
The Nesi family has been successfully running a textile factory in Prato, one of the industrial centers of Italy, for generations. Wild markets and the greed for profit are starting to challenge the traditional business style. The Nesi family also entered a difficult period in 2004, when they considered selling their factory. Our Story is a kind of criticism of the economic order taken over by giant companies, rotten politicians, arrogant economists and those who pursue cheap production.
