I have listed the scribbles here, in this book, almost at random, as they came to me. The oldest must have been thirty or thirty-five years ago. I more or less remember when I wrote some of them. Some are preliminary scribbles of certain texts. Unfinished drafts. Unfinished plans. Many regrets... Some have completely slipped my mind. The newest of the scribbles are the ones I wrote after the death of a friend, this year. I went over some of the scribbles when adding them to the book; I left some not touched at all. I eliminated some, I destroyed them. Who knows if there are other scribbles left in notebooks, files, between books?
