This extremely striking story of decline is based on the real life of an aristocratic woman who was very influential in the French court during the reign of Louis XV. One day, Madame de Prie fell out of favor and was exiled to Normandy by the king. After her lively and entertaining days in Paris, where she was the powerhouse and the center of attention, she was left alone for an exile period of unknown duration. However, the empty palace life consisting of power struggles, intrigue and entertainment was the only thing that gave meaning to her existence. This shallow and arrogant woman, who was constantly inclined to deceive both herself and those around her, tried to revive her life in Paris by organizing ostentatious entertainments in her mansion. Gradually losing her ability to think logically, Madame de Prie comes up with an incredible plan to attract all the attention to herself again.
