Tales of the Crystal Mansion
"That's the fairy tale!" A book that makes you say…
Although we have not read all of the tales in Billur Köşk, compiled by Tahir Alangu from Anatolian tales, which are on the MEB 100 Basic Works List, we have definitely listened to one, three or five of them from our elders. There is a sultan, a prince, a young man no matter what he is in those tales. He deals with big problems, struggles with giants and fairies, and finally reaches his goal. The daughter of the Sultan of Istanbul quarrels with the son of the Sultan of Yemen, the sultan who was raised as a man eventually becomes a prince due to the curse of the giants, the young man who learns the Alicengiz game becomes millet, and when his master who wants to eat him becomes a chicken, he turns into a weasel and defeats him. He is so patient that a young girl can even throw a stone of patience. cracks...
At the end of the book, which includes fourteen beautiful tales, there is also an explanation of Alangu and a Little Dictionary explaining some of the words in the tale.
