Bilinmeyen Bir Kadının Mektubu
Stefan Zweig wrote his long story called Letter from an Unknown Woman (Brief einer Unbekannten) in the first half of the 1920s. We know the heroine of Letter from an Unknown Woman only as the author of a long letter. There is no name of the "sender" of this letter, which the woman wrote for the man she has loved throughout her life. There is only one address at the beginning of the letter: "To you, you who have never known me." The woman is always willing to experience her great passion as an "unknown", that is, alone. In this love story, there are only one "side", not "sides". Can such a thing be truly called love? Once again, Zweig invites his reader to a unique journey in human psychology. It is also possible that at the end of this new journey, he aims to reach the hitherto unknown shores of the concept of "absolute love"!
