Computer and Brain
The brain and nervous system is a subject that has attracted the attention of different disciplines. Different disciplines such as medicine, psychology, philosophy and engineering have approached the subject from different perspectives. With computers entering our lives, a new perspective has been added to these approaches.
In the meeting called "The Brain as an Information Processing Machine" organized by a group of enthusiasts in 1995, the approaches of many different disciplines such as neurosurgery, philosophy, and electrical engineering were presented together and in everyday language and attracted more than expected interest. The presentations of this meeting were compiled into a book called Computer and Brain in 1997, and the book sold out in a short time.
Following this first meeting, three more meetings with the same title were held in 1997, 2005 and 2008, and the expanded and enriched second edition, which you now hold in your hands, was prepared for publication, to which some of the speeches made in these three meetings were added.
These talks, which are presented to the reader with the belief that they will contribute to the development of interdisciplinary studies, which are not common in our country, are a rich resource for those interested in the subject.
