International Workers' Alliance
The International Workers' Union (BII) is a workers' organization, composed mainly of Greek workers, that operated in Istanbul after the Armistice. The date of establishment is May 18, 1920. It was closed in late 1923 after Istanbul was taken over by the National Liberationists.
In the first part of this revised and expanded edition, the documents in Mete Tunçay's work Left Movements in Turkey (1908-1925) are examined, while the available data is enriched with some information obtained after the publication of Left Movements in Turkey. In the second part, new documents obtained from the Comintern archives are presented.
The book contains not only the documents of the International Workers Union itself, but also the documents regarding the activities among the Greek workers leading to the establishment of this organization, as well as the press of the Istanbul Communist Group, which was directly affiliated with the Communist International and was assigned to establish the TKP from 1922 onwards. Dr. The reports written by the group drawn by Sefik Hüsnü also include sections related to the International Workers Union.
